Keri and Guy approached us last Fall about documenting their wedding at Sole Repair Shop. From the get-go, they were clear about their intentions in having their son involved in every way while being family/community centric AND that they would dance, dance HARD, and they wanted relive their story through our lens. We were eager to sign on. Read their story, you’ll see why:
“We met at work in 2007 and became fast friends…we realized we wanted to spend more and more time together. Next thing we knew, we were dating and moved in together. . . . When I saw him dancing full of joy and passion at Coachella Music Festival, I (Keri) knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.
We were on vacation on the East Coast of Australia in the fall of 2011. We stayed in Byron Bay, one of the most beautiful and laid back places. We started planning to have a baby and there was a surprise proposal … by the lighthouse, at sunset… which made the vacation even more magical.”
Some of the fun elements of this Seattle Wedding process that Keri + Guy experienced was the collaborative nature of the wedding industry and the flow of referrals of wedding vendors including Sole Repair and FeedCo Catering to Street Treats to Bella Umbrella to Dave Pezzner that kept the dance floor full of joy and passion … Other vendors include: Edgewater Hotel, Dress by Dolce Blue, Hair by Bang Salon, Make-up by Hanna Mazur, and bouquets by Kan Orchids and stunning paper flower decor from KM Hallberg Design. It’s great when fabulous vendors get to collaborate around a thing called love!
