Brandon + Tessa met in college at the University of Idaho… Tessa saw Brandon from a distance, liked his red hair and his dog (oh, Dylan!). She knew a few of his friends, and was certain she could conjure a visit/introduction to him. So… Brandon may or may not have been surprised when coming home from a landscaping job one day to his friend and Tessa hanging out. Later, after the hang out, Brandon learned Tessa had coordinated it all.
Since that initial master coordination, there was what could be described as “a gradual building of trust, laughter, compatibility that all added up to something neither of us knew they were getting into and couldn’t deny.” Brandon proposed at a U2 concert that Tessa had been waiting to get to see since high school. During the song that always makes Tessa cry, All I want is You, Brandon proposed. Tessa was so distracted that she didn’t realize what he was doing until she saw that he’d given their camera to the teenager in the seat beside them to take a photo!
Their relationship has been long… and the notion of having a traditional wedding wasn’t super appealing to them, however, the idea of a great big party with friends, booze and a honeymoon thereafter, sounded like a great idea. Tessa + Brandon got married at their good friend’s house surrounded by their immediate family and a few friends, and had the shortest and sweetest whiskey infused ceremony in the history of the world. They then booked it to Westland Distillery for an epic Friday the 13th afternoon party, coordinated by Bec of Blush Celebrations, for nibbles, libations, tunes by DJ Gumbeaux with Magnolia Rhapsody.
