We love babies. We cherish the new normal in families. We cherish the easing into what feels like could be a routine . . . but may only be a routine “for now”. We cherish the opportunity to witness, engage, and document the early days of a newly evolved family structure. It’s just so sweet. We also really dig toddlers, grade schoolers, high schoolers and beyond – basically, we’re into family – and all the ages of stages. But babies… extra squishy and lovely, they are.
When we book a family session, we learn about our client – who they are, how they show up, and what they want their family to remember in this chapter. Whether that is tiny fingers, toes, the innocent look when nap time ends, to the sweet giggles inspired by funny faces… or how it is the parents show up. It’s organic, unscripted, unobtrusive and reflective of you, your vision, your wants and steering way clear from the don’t wants of your family photography session. We roll with it in a lighthearted way working to encapsulate these moments in time for you to treasure for years and decades to come.
So… without further ado, look at this squishy babes. We planned with the parents to join them at the home towards the tail end of the nap, feeling happy that as we arrived the kiddo was still asleep! From there we were going to follow their flow…which is little bits of life in between the frequent napping. So, all the smiles and coos, the diaper changes, the nursing, the neighborhood walk. Followed by the unwind of such an adventure as a baby… a relaxing bath, little naked snuggles in your favorite blanket, more smiles, more coos and all the sweetness in the world. Life in the 4th trimester… there’s a little more baby engagement than the super-duper newborn early days and just as much tenderness.
Amber + Josh : Thanks for letting us relish in these sweet moments of family and social gathering and celebration of new beginnings. We have the best job, we have the best clients.
