High School Senior portraits should not be cringe, and they deserve to be more than just a yearbook photo. As relationship based lifestyle and storytelling photographers, we’re dedicated to co-creating an experience with our Seniors that truly reflects who you are at this moment in your life… it’s an end of an era for you, let’s treat it as such! Our approach goes beyond traditional poses, focusing instead on telling your unique story through our lens, with you as the leader – resulting in fun, authentic, personalized images. We recognize that there are many colored days… and we’ll meet you where you’re at and support you through and through. Whether we start (and/or stay!) in the comfort of your home (read: safe, snug and sound) or at your favorite neighborhood spot reflective of how you engage with the world, we’ll work together to document your era, your style, and your essence.

The Process, Getting Started
Initial Consultation: Let’s kick things off with a chat with you and your family. This helps us get to know your needs and make sure we’re a great fit for each other. From there, we determine dates and do the paperwork to make things legit for this Senior Photo Shoot. Go to my contact page and let me know you’re interested.
Investment: Our digital High School Senior Portrait package is $999, with 50% of the balance due once the date is agreed upon and the paperwork/contracts are signed. The balance is due two weeks prior to the session and we are happy to support bite-sized payment plans if needed. Here’s what’s included:
- Initial consult, and pre-session planning with text/email support
- Up to 75 minutes session time with up to two pre-arranged locations
- Professional hand-editing to balance colors – additional photo shop inquiry? Let’s chat.
- Online gallery delivered in a week
- 25 high-resolution digital images of your choice
- One selected image edited per yearbook specs delivered to the school/yearbook contact
- Mobile app with your selects for easy sharing
Additional Add-ons can include:
- Hair and Make-Up through our trusted partners is additional, ranges between $250-300
- Print products, inclusive of wall art and custom albums with a 20% discount
- More time, More distance, More images
Planning Session: After our initial meet, we’ll dive into a detailed planning call where we’ll:
- Discuss your interests and vision for the shoot
- Explore locations that hold meaning for you
- Listen + support your brainstorms, outfit and styling tips – IF you want
- Get curious about your needs: any special requests or accommodations
- Figure out the flow of your session
Go time: What to Expect
Our Senior Sessions usually last about an hour-ish, we’re here for ya for up to 75 minutes. We often split into two parts to maximize our time and keep things interesting. First, if it feels good to you, we start at home (15-30 minutes) – we continue to be big fans of a senior portrait on your front porch, a la first day of school, but with a professional… and less anxiety. We can start in your favorite space—whether it’s your bedroom, study area, or wherever you’re most at ease. We’ll capture you doing what you love and, if you’d like, include a casual family/pet photo, we can do that. During this time – we want to get comfortable together, get images of what “home” is like .. maybe its a book, or music/art, or baking, or chatting in the kitchen… whatever it is, a few frames to capture this version of you. Then, we’ll get Out and About (30-45 minutes)- maybe you have a meaningful place you want to be photographed, or maybe just a fun spot where you appreciate the backdrop. Here, we’ll get some posed shots for your yearbook or for the mantle, and candid moments that showcase your personality. Maybe it’s sitting at the beach, or the skate-park, climbing trees/rocks, or appreciating architecture – whatever your jam is, we’re here to document you relishing in it.
Your comfort is key for us, so we’ll always respect your boundaries and adapt to your needs throughout the session… checking in frequently, honoring the collaboration. Note: sometimes it feels safer to have a support person with you to hype you up, a parent, neighbor or friend- we’re cool with that.
And maybe… you’re thinking – this is all great, but I want MORE – whether it’s time, distance, adventure re: hiking in the Cascades, or spending time in the Rainforest or at your family beach house….whatever… we’re here for it. What to Wear + How to Wear it
This Senior Session is about you. We recommend selecting a couple of outfits that make you feel confident and true to yourself- and consider the what you want to be doing for the session. During our planning session, we’ll chat about you selecting outfits that compliment OR lends itself to the perfect juxtaposition (prom dress at the skate park anyone?) to your vision of this session. We’ll support you to ensure it looks great on camera and honors your style – we’ll welcome + offer feedback prior and carry your bags of accessories/props if that’s your path in the moment.
Some photographers advise against lots of patterns and graphics on clothing as they don’t always make the prettiest pictures – but that’s not entirely what this experience is about. It’s more about you being able to be yourself. If it’s SUPER important to the family to wear the knit penguin sweater your great Auntie made you – we can totally give it five minutes and a frame or two (with your explicit, joyful consent to make folks happy) bonus: we can even do it ironically if it makes things easier. It’s worthy of being noted that we won’t photograph graphics/clothing/flags that incite hate, are derogatory or have slurs on them. Nope on a rope.
You may be thinking – Hair and Make-Up? Only if you want to! Sometimes it’s a fun little treat – and make up artists can 100% accentuate your features in ways that make them sing AND you don’t owe anyone a song. SO, again… do you, being thoughtful of how that practice of getting done up makes you feel and what your budget of both time, energy and finance allows for. We are happy to make recommendations for some incredible Hair + Make Up Artists – and we have relationships with some if you are looking for a one-stop invoicing experience.
