We had an awesome time Saturday…. not shooting a traditional experience, but giving back to our West Seattle business community by contributing in the celebration of a Giver, Laura. A bit of background, our friend Emily, from Emily Untangled felt compelled to organize an event that recognized, celebrated and pampered a woman that consistently gives of more of herself than she takes. We, and many other local businesses wanted to get on the giving train!
Emily coordinated this day-long event, featuring, Laura. Laura started her “day” the night before doing some shopping with a personal stylist, Wendy. Style by Wendy offers consultations based on lifestyle and will serve as a personal shopper to help discover a style that will work with one’s life in a seemingly seamless manner. The morning after, Laura visited Marian of Horizon Massage Therapy for a relaxing and productive massage before coming in to Via Salon, where Emily coordinated the rest. Once Laura arrived, she had a consult with Kelly Barrett from Style & Dot and selected her gifted jewelry. She then captured some “before” photos with us, as she embarked on her extensive hair consult with Emily. Enter Dawn, from Mary Kay, who advised on color, strategy and all things cosmetic, with sweet gift basket treats from Sarah Horner at Rodan + Fields a coaching session from Morgan Sontag with Break Free Coaching and Therapy and a gift certificate from Chaco Canyon.
The outcome, a rich day with rather inspiring women all around, adding a little more pizazz to Laura’s fresh new look. Laura, thanks for putting yourself out there for us – we really enjoyed getting to know you and appreciate all you do for the ones you love.
