Meet Kate + Jonny.
“Jonny and I met online. I was late for our first date, and I thought he didn’t like me. After we had coffee, we started to talk and hit it off. I asked him if he liked dive bars and we’ve been basically inseparable ever since. The proposal came out of a bet…. Jonny said that he wouldn’t mind me hyphenating my name if I proposed…”
The story goes that later that night, Kate kinda shouted a proposal across the room, Jonny said YES! They were engaged, married, and now off on the pathway to sustain the happily ever after.
First the venue: Pike Place Market in a space overlooking Elliott Bay and the Great Wheel. Then: the people, the artistic touches, the love. Combine all and you have an amazing opportunity for a super-fun wedding party!
The wedding was inspired by Kate’s love for vintage and DIY – her dress was a vintage tea length gown recreated to suit her perfectly by her mother. There were vintage accents throughout: handmade doily lanterns, reupholstered screen printed chairs & pillows, lacy banners, and then a penguin cake topper made by her sculptor father. It was all about the details, and they nailed.
