Meet Joe and Stephanie and their little dude we’ll call Baby M.
Joe had contacted us to document this most excellent age and stage of new parenthood as a Mother’s Day gift for his lovely partner in life and parenting, Stephanie. He wanted some portraits, but was concerned about the studio setting. We talked about our style : documentary/storytelling, and it really complimented their style. Their style included a late morning Sunday meet-up; some at home hang-time, a stroll through the West Seattle Farmer’s Market to collect some flowers (a weekly tradition in their home) and getting their morning caffeine fix before going to Lincoln Park for some beach time . . . and ideally a nap.
This is the kind of West Seattle Family Photography Storytelling we like to be a part of! Our morning with Joe, Stephanie and Baby M was refreshing. Offering insights on how life has changed in the last year, from the transformation of their climbing/skiing/camping gear room to a nursery, to how the REI coupons get used now as new parents which includes a small human in the game of adventuring. . . The love and respect they have for one another in this journey has only grown. The adoration and appreciation they have for one another with Baby M being the conduit to this evolution is palpable. We are so thankful to have gotten to spend the time we did with this family, to celebrate, document and encapsulate this moment in time is precious. Until next time, squeeze those cheeks, adore those baby blue eyes, and tickle those sweet toes.
