This was a fun one. .. Essentially, it’s a West Seattle love story.
Shanna and Scott get married. After 13 years of loving each other, they opted to go ahead and surprise folks by tying the knot. Their friends that all had cool last names were ready to party and their family were happy to finally blend.
Scott and Shanna had a strong visions on how their day would be: low on stress and high on love, pops of color everywhere and to keep things local… hyper-local, really, all of their wedding vendors were within 1.3 miles of their home! Dakota Park Place, Duo’s Catering, Baked Custom Cakes, Click! (where they got their rings), the Flower Lab and us – Diwas Photography were some local West Seattle businesses that contributed to their epic day.
When reflecting on their wedding day, we had to ask the question… “Can there be too many highlights?!” There was the hand-cut alter created by Shanna’s friend, Jenny, the story of their love featuring Nicolas Cage movie titles, paper lanterns hung from the ceiling, bagpipes, heirloom cufflinks gifted to Scott from Shanna’s late grandmother, and the young people incorporated throughout the day. It was a remarkable day, and we were really happy be chosen as a “local” to document it!
