We gave away an elopement and a vow renewal a few weeks ago in partnership with some other really cool folks. This is the story of how all that love came about. First though, thank you to Melissa and Mike who opened their hearts and invited us in to marry them and celebrate their love. And thank you to Brooks and Anna who celebrated a year of transitions and continued commitment with the sweetest vow renewal pronouncing them husband and wife. The joy of this day was borderline ridiculous and highly emotional, absolutely filling the hearts of all the vendors. From all of us in this Big Beautiful Package, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to fill our hearts in doing what we love to do. Here’s the story of how it all began:
Once upon a time on a chilly Seattle day with the fine humans of DIWAS Photography and Sole Repair Shop met up for a coffee at Cafe Vitta. They talked about how fun it is to work together, and that it should happen more often. Soon after, the caffeine kicked in and the creativity brewed. It would be even MORE fun if some of our other favorite people to work with would join in on the fun! And so it began… the construction of the Big Beautiful Package, how awesome would it be for people to decide to have a party and think no further AND save a bunch of bucks if they booked us all in one-stop?!
So, another meeting of the minds was called with a fun crew of industry folks: Bec from Blush Celebrations for day-of coordination, Natalie from Gingerbee Event and Design for floral and design and Beaux and Cho of Magnolia Rhapsody DJ and assembled this crew in partnership with Sole Repair Shop and DIWAS Photography. It was decided a styled shoot would happen to demonstrate what it could “look” like working with one another.
After another glass of wine, the vendors mused . . . “after spending a morning decorating the space it would be a shame to just take it down without sharing it. . . ” A launch party would be had, the Unwrapping, if you will. When we spoke about the party and how beautiful it was going to be, we decided – given the scene would be gorgeously set for a wedding, we should probably just give away an elopement and THEN party! So, we did. This is what it looked like.
A special thanks to Queens for a Night and Victoria’s Chocolates for your day-of contributions for the Unwrapping of our Big Beautiful Package.
