November 1-13 Kathmandu, Nepal
November 22-December 2 (family friendly)
Every time we travel back hOMe to Nepal, we have friends, family, neighbors telling us that they would LOVE to join us. And, we’ve invited and supported our friends in their journey.. .. .. meeting up with them, sharing and showing them the way, introducing them to the BEST hole in the wall joints for dumplings or cake, reminding them to NOT drink the tea from the street carts that are made from tap water… and you know, letting them experience Nepal from an insiders perspective.
It’s the best.
This year, we’re going back. We’re inviting the greater community to join us, but you can get to know us a smidge first here. We’re limiting the number of folks to join us so that we can foster relationships that can thrive within our travel group AND within the Nepali communities we will visit. It’s going to be a rich experience, and we can hardly wait.
We’re going to see the sights, yes… the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in and around Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Swayambunath, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We’ll introduce you to a community of artists and supporters or tourism in Nepal. We’ll coach you in developing your travel photography skills if that’s your jam, and we’ll help you stay present in the magical moments by photographing you as you experience Nepal and providing you with a photojournalistic imagery via online gallery of your journey.
You’ll be gifted Lifestyle Portrait Session with DIWAS Photography.
In Nepal, with this gorgeous landscape as your backdrop.
How cool is that?!
We’re going to watch the sunrise behind Mount Everest from a comfy, cozy, sleepy village Nargakot. We’ll teach you how to create a gorgeous Ayurvedic Nepali meal (and more!) so you can wow your friends back home with your culinary know-how. We’ll visit Pokhara, the gateway to the Himalayas and basking in the quiet landscape: lake and mountain views and incorporate some day hikes as well. This is one of our favorite spaces to escape to in Nepal.
We’ll visit a village and offer a hostel cultural home-stay where you’ll get to experience a snippet of village life, witness the love and labor that is invested in the arts and handicrafts that are iconic of Nepal’s industry. You’ll see the landscape that is off the beaten path whilst developing local relationships and empowering young women who want to elevate the field of tourism in Nepal.
We’ll travel by car, by bus, by rickshaw to all the places and spaces that we go. We’ll give you some free time during your tour so you can get that Ayurvedic massage, or practice yoga, visit a museum, hang with the locals at the chia pasal, or do some gift shopping. For families that are joining us, we’ll have several extra hands of “didis” or the elder sister of children, to ensure you have the time and space to enjoy Nepal…. you may even be able to suss out a date night as we’ll also encourage a night out where we can listen to some Nepali music, have some snacks and grab some drinks.
It’s going to be great… are you ready to join us?!
I’m so available to answer questions and flush it out with you.
Call, text, email… and more info on pricing, inclusion, aspects of this tour can be found here, too.
