You’re Invited. Join Us! Wanna know more?!
You may be intrigued about traveling to Nepal with us… so we quickly want to share more with you so you can quick decide you want to get in on it. There are several things that we’re excited about with this tour that will set it apart to any other experience you’ll have traveling Nepal solo. I’m planning to break it down over more blog posts, but I’ll outline them here for pure accountability and perhaps as a smidge of a tease!
- Nepali Food : Chiya, Dal Bhat and Dumplings (mo mo)!
- City + Village stays: a local experience
- Lifestyle Photography Session
The first thing though that I want to share about is the ethos we have as business owners and you know, humans, is giving back. As business owners we strive to be successful in what we do, and our success means that we get to give back to projects and populations that matter to us. Given that our story began in Nepal – AND this trip is focused on Nepal, trust we’ll give back to Nepal in a number of ways, every single day.
We’ll support local handicraft establishments we’ll visit through providing captivating imagery- taken by our tour group and DIWAS Photography. This imagery will depict the people, the process, the products which will be used to help to propel their efforts into marketing internationally to the next level.
Women, children, education and community development are also the center point of our focus in Nepal. Did you know that our story of how we met centered on those very values of service and community almost 20 years ago?! The heart of it is still very much there, and we still very much want to contribute to projects and programs that are doing strong and sustainable work. We are steadfast in the contribution to education and community programs that support children and women with cash donations throughout our time in Nepal. We commit to staying in with small business establishments (hotels, etc) that uplift these ethos and and values. We applaud and support the efforts of small businesses and establishments that mirror our ethos of youth and women empowerment.
Further, this tour will have elements of community engagement left and right so participants can have rich encounters with various families, castes, generations of Nepali people. We could not be more excited for our participants to enjoy Nepal in a way that is well curated, focused on local treasures, on trade vs. aide and authentic Nepali life versus the typical tourist travel adventure.
Stay tuned… more posts coming soon. Up next. . . FOOD. Our favorite.
