You know what’s the best about being a photographer that specializes in real, heartfelt and milestone moments of life? When it starts with a wedding or engagement session… often times subsequent sessions follow with a new something or another… car, house, dog, kid… you name it, we’re here for it. We had the honor of photographing Amanda + Reed’s wedding a number of years ago, and have been able to watch them evolve to this new stage with joy and anticipation. Before we go all baby on ya, let’s first focus on the first furry hero’s of this session… you know the ones: fiercely protective, ridiculously cute, and best friends anyone could ever have that also teach you how to parent. So now we’ve got those two super important members of the family plugged in, read on….
This gorgeous and incredibly photogenic family – we’ve been able to document their love grow. A gift we absolutely treasure. When we arrived this sweat pea was prepped and ready to be photographed, with the big baby blue eyes…. One the more chill little creature with the best little smiles and roundest little cheeks. We were really piles of baby mush throughout the session.
We remembered the trials and tribulations of the early days ourselves which is always a treat to reflect upon – like nursing, spit ups and diaper snaffus. This little one has the ability to spit up like no other, which you know, just gives the options for multiple outfit changes. Yet another reason we aim to keep our family sessions very chill, candid and fluid… spit happens, hunger/hanger happens, and sometimes naps happen… right when the going gets good!
Amanda + Reed, thank you so much for having us in your lives, welcoming us into your home, letting us love on your doggies, and hold your sweet baby. We treasure you as clients, as friends and it is everything to us to watch you all grow into this magical family that you are.
